Public Outreach: Life at the VLT: Setting, Suite and Science Highlights presentation to Hinckley and District Astronomical Society, UK.

In 2008 ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT) sited at the Paranal Observatory in Chile celebrated 10 years of operation. This presentation discussed the location and setting of this international observatory; the capabilities of the suite of instruments, and some science highlights. The presentation consisted of 2 segments of circa 30-35 minute talks supported by powerpoint presentations, separated to allow for a refreshement break. A few 2-3 minute videos in various formats were displayed prior to the refreshment break and at the conclusion of the presentation, after inviting questions.
