Queue Priority and Proposal Ranking
Starting in 2020A, the ranking of the proposals will be determined by TAC priority. The highest grades, A, are automatically granted the highest priority, such that targets in those programs will always be observed when available over targets in lower ranked programs. Purchased or guaranteed time will be given status “A”.
At the grade, the targets are observed roughly as available, but there is no guarantee that a program at a lower rank will have any targets observed, especially if those targets conflict with targets at higher ranks. This is important for targets which must be observed at the start of a semester.
