Compressible Bubble Test

FLASH calculations of a 2-d compressible bubble.

The standard PPM solver and an unsplit compressible solver (Colella 1990) were both applied to the same problem -- a bubble rising in an isothermal stratified atmosphere (g = -2, H = 1.0), with a initial internal energy perturbation of 1.25 (smoothed out). The unsplit solver was developed in pyro.

The PPM solver shows some wiggles in the internal energy field downstream of the bubble, which are not apparent in the unsplit calculation.

All calculations are run on a 256x256 grid.
