The spectrograph was obtained from CFHT Observatory in Hawaii and reworked to be a fiber fed instrument. The fibers are placed on the objects of interest by the robot positioner on the topend of the telescope. The fiber bundle then runs down the telescope and into the spectrograph packed into a linear array which forms the "fiber slit"
